In the year 2007, two astronauts and their NASA spacecraft Charger II, disappear on re-entry after a routine mission. A time warp. After traveling with Lewis & Clark on the Voyage of Discovery to the Pacific coast, time stranded astronaut Jim Parker realizes that he would outlive all those he befriends, and he is helpless to stop the inevitable turn of history.
